Ferry to South Island

NZ time... Thursday 12th January... 5pm

Left Wellington B&B around 7am for short drive to ferry terminal. The Interislander Ferry left on time at 8.25, taking about 3 hours for the crossing to Picton. The sea was dead calm all the way, which was good.

Had a walk in Picton before the half hour drive to Blenheim. Hot and sunny here on arrival, very welcome!

Went to Brancott Heritage Centre in the afternoon. Bit of a waste of time, name implies some form information and exhibits etc related to wine growing, but nothing there except cafe & wine tasting option, plus above view of winefields.

Planning to do one of the organised Wine Tasting Tours tomorrow.
