NZ time...Wednesday 18th January...4pm
Having a relaxing day today ahead of our full-day walk on Franz Josef Glacier tomorrow. This morning we did three bush walks, none very difficult.
The first was around Lake Matheson, where we saw great views of Mounts Cook & Tasman (lucky to see them both clear of clouds).
Then we did the Minnehaha Rain Forest walk, which was very interesting (thanks Ian for recommending it). It was much more "mossy" etc than others we'd been to.
Finally, we did the walk up to the terminal edge of the Fox Glacier. Impressive to see and whetted the appetite for tomorrow.
Now chilling back at the B&B, before going into town for a meal this evening.
