NZ time ...Sunday 8th January...7pm
It rained hard all last night in Rotorua and woke up this morning to see the B&B's lawn flooded!
Had another lovely breakfast before leaving for the drive to Napier. It rained for most of the journey, but when we stopped at Huka Falls (near Lake Taupo) we were lucky that it was dry there!
Got to Napier about 1.30pm. It stopped raining shortly thereafter. In the afternoon we went to Church Road vineyard for wine-tasting, then walked round Napier city centre with all its art deco buildings.
Motel room has a jacuzzi, which we've just made best use of before going out for a meal!
