Rotorua (day 2)

NZ time... Saturday 7th January 10.30pm

This morning we went to Wai-O-Tapo, one of the main geothermal areas. OK to see, but bit disappointed as not as impressive as expected. Saw the Lady Knox geyser erupt on cue at 10.15am, good to see but it wasn't a natural eruption as they put an eco-friendly substance into it at that time every day to start it off! Then went to the Mud Pools, again ok to see but not anything special.
On way back to Rotorua, Mike called into an interesting golf club (electric fences round the greens to keep the sheep off of them!).

Back to B&B for relaxing afternoon, before going to the Mitai Maori experience & dinner. It rained all evening but luckily we were under cover for both the dinner and the show. Food was good and the show was excellent.

    Hi! Sounds a bit overly tourist friendly! Glad the evening turned out better. Any plans to go zorbing?! Sounds you're having a good mix of sight seeing and relaxing :-) Weathers calmed down here but I am still hoping for some snow days!! Love you x
