Wellington

NZ time ...Wed 11th January...6.30pm

Had a lovely day in Wellington. Nice to have warm and sunny weather from the outset!

In the morning we went to the Te Papa museum. We both agree that it is definitely one of the best museums we've visited, very interesting and well laid out.

In the afternoon, we took the cable car up to the Botanical Gardens, very pleasant to walk around in the sunshine.

Back at the B&B, Chris had arranged for a friend of his (Andy) to come and meet us, as he was born in Maidstone but had emigrated to NZ many years ago. Had a good chat and then Andy took Mike on a drive around Wellington area to see some more sights and spectacular views (while Jan had a shower!). Very kind of him.

Going to Logan Brown's for dinner this evening, we're told probably the best restaurant in Wellington, so really looking forward to it.

Just back from Logan Brown's, had superb meal, great food & service (thanks Ian for the recommendation).
